Raz hands shook at the sight of old Quil. Quil, Quil, Quil, her only remaining friend. Azra take his soul. May he burn bright in the everafter. The old prayer flashed across her mind before everything spiraled into fury.Once again she had lost everything, and the fact that she did nothing to stop it yet again cut to the quick. Fire built up in her gut, whispered sweet nothings in her ears and Raz could feel reality slipping away. The world was becoming a blur of reds, golds, and sunlight. She wanted it all to burn.
Talon made a sudden movement and the sight of his blood drove her from her daze. Flames flooded her senses and pulsed, ready and waiting. At Talon's subtle glance she let loose, a roar errupting from her throat while fire errupted from her skin. The tent went up in a blaze- the carpets, the roads, the bodies around her. Only Talon remained untouched, and she almost numbly heaved his weight against her and began to drag him away. Her thoughts were no longer coherent, but a mixture of heat and of the voice of the fire.
Anyone who stepped in her way was set alight. A path of screams met her ears, but nothing really registered.
She wanted it all to burn.
