Appearance: Arem's hair is slightly long for a man's, reaching down slightly over his ears. It is very wavy, but not no much that it looks messy, with a golden blonde color, slightly darker underneath, as if he spends a lot of time in the sunlight, and it has lightened his hair. His skin is smooth, not too pale, and his eyes are a greenish-tinted grey. He is a little tall and rather lean, though is athletic, stronger than he appears.
Personality: He always seems to have a sense of command and control about him, as if he always knows what to do. He cares about his people, and the people await the day he will become King. He's slightly cocky, which is natural, considering his good looks and bright future; every girl in the kingdom swoons over him.
History: As the second son of the King and Queen, he would not be inheriting the throne under normal circumstances. However, his brother has committed himself to scholarship and magic, retreating to an isolated hermitage. This gave Arem the unexpected title of Heir to the Throne, and he has taken it all in stride, becoming one of the most loved Princes in the history of Shargonia.
Powers: Being in the royal family, Arem has one of the most powerful bloodlines in the land. Through the blood of his mother and father, he has inherited both the art of Telepathy and the protection Mirror, a power enabling him to reflect any direct magical attack. The power of Mirror, however, only covers the height and width of his body, so if he were to defend anyone else, they would have to be behind him.
Lazaro
Name: Lazaro Aurick Vasili
Age: 34
Appearance: When he was young, Lazaro was practically identical to Arem, with wavy dark blonde hair and the bright green Vasili eyes. The Dark arts have corrupted him, however, and his eyes now run a deep blood red. His hair is black, and his skin is a deep, exotic tan. He has three earrings in his left ear and two in his right, all made of silver and iron, metals commonly used in Dark Magic.
Personality: As a boy he rarely spoke, and looked upon the world as a place filled with opportunity. He always loved, and still does love, his father over anyone else in the world, and would do anything for him. He has developed into an indifferent, hardened man, with no outward emotions whatsoever aside from rage and sadism. However, he is still usually very quiet.
History: When, as a boy, Lazaro showed promise in spellweaving, the King began to personally tutor him in the Arts, snatching him away for hours at a time, refusing to ever let anyone else join them. As he grew older, Lazaro began working on his own more and more, but he always reported back to his father. It was still a shock, however, when Lazaro renounced his rights to the crown and swore himself as a mage... then disappeared.
Powers: He has the natural Vasili power of Telepathy, but his very personal connection with the Hellgate provides him with hundreds of others with use of short, often silent spells.
Kel Bernares
Name: Kelenthe Rine Bernares
Age: 19
Appearance: With long red-gold hair, dark blue eyes, and a mishchevious smile, Kel steals hearts (while stealing whatever's in you pocket). She is tall and lean with the build of a runner.
Personality: Quick-tempered, quick-witted, and quick-footed. Kel is a very selfish person because of the environment she grew up in and believes that she should only look out for herself. She was taught to take what she wanted no matter the consequences. Once you get around her irritable and dominating personality, however, Kel is a pretty nice person, and always loves a bit of (drunken) fun here and there. She may appear flirty at first, but that's usually because she is luring you close enough to nick anything of value you have on you.
History: Kel was born into a long line of notorious thieves, the Bernares, infamous throughout all of Shargonia. Kel was sold by her parents (who were as fond of money as she is) to a master thief, a high-ranked "noble" in the Court of Thieves who taught her everything she knows. After finishing her training she was sent off into the world and has since been causing havoc and getting herself into trouble ever since.
Powers: Kel inherited the Bernares family ability to heighten one of her senses by equally dimming each of her others. For example, she can sharpen her sight by dulling her smell, feel, taste, and hearing. Or, she can completely "cut off" her sense of sight by heightening her smell, feel, taste, and hearing.
Captain Zephyr
Name: Davyn Glaive Bernares
Age: 20
Appearance: Short, ruffled chocolate brown hair, constantly in disarray from the winds of the high seas. Sea-foam green eyes, almost aqua. Davyn is lean like most Bernares, built for speed and agile footwork. Davyn also possess a certain swagger that most men lack, given the fact that he spends most of his time on a boat.
Personality: Cocky and fun-loving, Davyn is, like most Bernares, a load of trouble. He is a smooth-talker and he puts his skills to good use, earning him the reputation of a womanizer among his men. He has no self-control when it comes to drinking, women, or pilfering pricey things. He cares a great deal for his cousin Kel, he would go so far as to say she is his best friend, yet the pair of them are more often then not helping the other out of a jam.
History: Davyn, like Kel, was born into the crooked ways of the Bernares family and found his true love in the sea at an early age. By the time he hit fifteen he was first mate on the Thunderboalt, the most feared pirate vessel in the lands. Now at twenty he has inherited the title of Captain Zephyr given to him by the previous Captain Zephyr, and is one of the most respected (and loved) criminals in Shargonia.
Powers: Davyn, like Kel, inherited the family ability to heighten on sense by dimming the others.

Appearance: Black hair, tinted blue in the light due to a traditional dye all Kings of the Court of Thieves have used in years past. Electric blue eyes. Lean but muscled with a wicked grin. An elaborate tattoo curling along his left shoulder and up the side of his neck.
Personality: As King of the Court of Thieves it is only natural that Reid is a rogue, in more ways than one. He is dangerous and devilish with the usual bad boy charm that no woman can resist. Like Dav he's had his fair share of trysts, but the only girl he's put any effort into pursuing and really seems to care about is Kel.
History: Reid was born and raised to become the next ruler of the Court of Thieves. Reid's uncle was the man who bought and trained Kel when she was young, and because of this Reid and Kel grew up together. However, as Reid hit his teenage years, his duties seperated the pair and the death of Reid's uncle further divided them by causing Kel to avoid the Court because of the memories it inspired. They were re-acquainted at the Festival of Rogues a few years later and have since been the best of friends- as well as playful flirting buddies and (on occasion) casual lovers. However, what Kel doesn't seem to understand is that Reid's affections for her run deeper than she believes.
Powers: As King of the Rogues, Reid has several traditional powers that will be revealed and the personal ability to summon lightning.

Name: Annabelle Faellie Farraday

Appearance: Long, light brown, corkscrewed curls with dazzling green eyes. She is about average height, but thin, with a relatively flat chest. She usually wears gold or pale green dresses, and can run, climb, and basically do anything in them. She was raised as a "lady" after all.
Personality: Though she is almost always a sweet, nice girl, A-Belle (as her father affectionately calls her) likes to purposely do things to irritate people, and because of that can be thought of as very "disagreeable". Thought she doesn't realize it, she can often act spoiled. She loves taking one of the family horses, Rudy, out on rides, and will often spend hours laying around outside on nice days.
History: Annabelle comes from a lower noble family. Though her parents have tried to marry her off several times already, she has managed to chase away every one of the men. She hates the feeling of being forced to marry off, and, being a contrarian, does everything in her power to avoid it.
Powers: The power of going through objects runs in her bloodline, and she herself has inherited it.
